YOUR address IS the "return address". The "return address" is the address the package is coming from. You put your address in the top left corner, and the address you are sending the item *TO* in the center of the envelope. Haven't you ever received mail, or SEEN mail that comes to your house? Just look at any typical envelope you receive to see where the addresses go.

And if you KNOW how much postage the envelope requires, and if it weighs less than 13 ounces, then yes, you can just put it in a drop box. Otherwise, you must mail it over the counter at the Post Office.

(You can't let your parents know you're returning something because it's a surprise? Um. That really doesn't make a whole lot of sense.)

You will need to go to a post office, it sounds like the item you want to mail will need additional postage, so they will weigh it and tell you how much. If you just mail it and guess the postage amount it will be sent back to you. The post office will show you how to address the envelope.

like what do i include? i have a large envelope and i have the item i want to return, and i have a return address. where do i put the return address and where do i put my address? can i put it through one of those little mailboxes that sit outside of a buisness? (its small enough to fit...but will it be allowed). i cant let my parents know (its a surprise). and i cannot get to a post office
