eBay will notify you when you sell the item (or don't), when the buyer pays, and paypal will also notify you when the person deposits the money.
You have to have an account with eBay and an account with PayPal. When you write your auction listing, you specify that you want to be paid by PayPal only. When someone buys your item, you will get an email that allows you to send them an invoice, which they will pay. PayPal will receive the payment and send you an email telling you the item has been paid for. At that point, there is a button you can click that will allow you to make and print a shipping label, and the shipping cost will be taken out of your PayPal balance.
Ebay sends you an email when the Buyer has paid.
Paypal is the most likely option of payment on ebay, and is simple to the Seller - if payment is by another way (that you approved) then visit Seller Central on eBay to learn the nuance on how to handle your specific transaction method.
I wish I could start my own online auction monopoly
So I want to sell some shoes on Ebay, and I am planning to list them as an Auction. If someone wins my auction, how do they pay me for the item sold? I'm on the Ebay app right now, and I put my Paypal email as a payment preference. Does that mean they buyer is paying me by Paypal, or it is just an option. And if they are, how would i know they have sent the payment. Does Ebay notify me or paypal? Sorry i'm new to this selling online stuff. Much help would be appreciated!
