If the buyer complains about the stains. offer a refund without asking them to go through the hassle of returning the item.
good luck with that. i sold something on ebay and i just forgot to click on shipped and ebay stopped me from selling. i can still buy stuff, but can't sell anything.
I recently sold a hoodie which i had purchased but never worn three years back due to it being too small. It was packaged along with a lot of other clothing i intended on selling those three years ago. I listed them all last week and didn't check the hoodie well enough and it had light discolorations/ marks on the sleeves. It was too late to cancel the auction once i noticed so i notified the buyer before they paid informing them i would cancel the transaction. They never responded and three hours later they paid for the item. I messaged them again but no reply. The weekend passed and i havent shipped it yet due to the holiday weekend. I messaged them again telling them i would refund their money if they wanted because i don't want to sell damaged items. No reply yet.
What action should I take? Should i refund them their money anyways even though i've had no reply or ship the item as is?
