Monitoring of transactions ... what would happen is, they would send you a fake cheque, then you bank it and immediately draw against it, then you keep some of the money and send the rest to the scammer along with information about the customer service you received (which they aren't really interested in) It might take a few days for the bank to realise the cheque was fake but when they do the cheque will bounce and then you are left overdrawn or out of pocket because you have already withdrawn the money. The scammer gets off scot free with the money you sent them and you end up owing the bank money.
