What you need to do:
1. Inform seller that the good is not received, then ask the seller to take photo of the original air waybill number that he got from DHL.
2. Verify the given air waybill with your local DHL. They will confirm you the sender and consignee.
3. If they seller gives you a correct tracking number, and it is recorded at DHL, so it means the seller does his job. And his capacity is only to assist you filing a claim upon his local DHL. And buyer also claim to his local DHL.
4. Wait for the DHL responses. And follow it up everyday. I know it's tiring, but a problem is a problem, we need to solve it!!!
I would contact the seller
Tell them
1) DHL claim they have delivered to somebody called "roadware G" but there is no-one by that name living close to your address.
2) DHL refuse to give any more details so you have no idea who it was they delivered to, or their address, but is was NOT yours or any address close to you or anyone known to you.
3) as a result you have no alternative but to raise a dispute for none delivery and strongly suggest they sue DHL for breach of contract
I would send a copy of this to DHL - together with the tracking number
Then file a dispute with ebay (I assume your bought via them)
You can contact both seller and courier. In most situation it is seller responsibility to make sure the goods are delivered to your doors but in this situation it can be a bit complicated because your parcel has a status 'delivered' and there is a signature as a confirmation. What I would suggest is to write to the seller and explain what happened. Meantime call DHL but don't speak with their customer service, they are absolutely useless, speak with supervisor or manager. There was a courier who was delivering your parcel, his way between depot and all customers is tracked so they can check if he was in your area. To be honest I have no idea what is their procedure if they delivered to wrong address but for sure it will be seller's responsibility to claim it and send your goods again.
You contact the seller to report that your purchase has not been delivered. They owe you a replacement or a refund. They haven't completed their contract with you until you have received what you paid for. The only difficulty may be proving that you didn't receive your purchase - it is all too easy to get something, then say you haven't had it and demand a refund.
There is no point you contacting DHL - they have a contract with the seller to deliver the item - so it is up to the seller to take it up with them and seek compensation for the lost item.
Similar just happened to me with DHL... i bought a xmas gift and the tracking didn't work for days then all of a sudden it said it was delivered 2 days ago to a city in South Carolina...I live in Phoenix, Arizona..
Emailed DHL support, no response. Called DHL service, disconnected 3 times.
Sorry, no advise. Just venting too.
"I ordered something from aliexpress I was given the tracking number and tracked it everyday as it was coming from china"
You need to contact DHL with your tracking number and address and verify the address on the package is the same as your address.
