Those with some marketable design, programming or writing-translation skills might find short term work at one of the freelance worker marketplaces like Odesk.com and Elance.com that pay a good hourly rate, though you are competing with a world wide talent pool.
Elance.com alone reports their (mostly skilled) workers earned $285 Million in 2013

Odesk.com has about 420 different qualification tests which can help someone with no track record of completed projects to win job bids

You would probably be self employed if working from home, you have to net an additional 15% to cover the additional self employment tax you have to pay on top of the normal taxes, if doing well your total tax bill may be near 40%.
Since you made $220 within six months - you could make $2200 within next six months, by scaling up business
However, it's highly suggested to continue studies - so that you have additional backup plan
I work from home and several of my friends do. Here is what we do: I am a real estate agent - mostly from home. My friend is an architect, another is a college profession for an online university. another is a radioligist (MD) who looks at xrays from home) Another is a sales person - 2 weeks at home, 2 weeks on the road. None of them relate to writing, but all of them had to get their experience working at a company first and then had the skills to take it home. So many more jobs are allowing you to work from home, once you prove yourself at the company... It's just going to take time
I got some ideas from http://pursuingonlinejobs.blogspot.co.uk... I know it is possible to achieve your goal
yes insurance adjusters do
I'm not asking to get rich. I'm just wondering if someone could work around six hours a day from home and make enough money to simply live. I've been writing articles and product reviews on Fiverr for half a year now, and have made about $220 within the six months.
That's money coming from my gigs being purchased every two to four days. Is there a way for me to continue writing from home and make more consistent money. I like to write anything. All my articles and reviews receive positive comments, so I could myself writing as a solid occupation. Right now, I'm only making "fun money", but I would like to make more. At least $100-$200 in a week's time.
A potential problem is me being 18. I only have a high school diploma. Do I need more education to achieve this? Is it even possible? I don't know anyone that works from home, so I'm oblivious to how this works. If it can work.
