You can see some sample work for hire contracts on the freelance site Elance here:

You could be talking anything from web camming your body out to website work so knowing what you are talking about would help answer your question.
The fact you say agreement instead of sales receipt it takes on new meaning. IF you are talking a service like doing web pages/sites etc. I would insist on a CONTRACT as well laying out time frames, what to expect, how many changes you do for free after I do not like your work exact pricing policy and on and on and on.
Of course, the buyer wants a contract.
You should want the contact also.
What sort of agreement? Non-disclosure? Non-compete? You have to tell us.
Beyond that, read the agreement. Is it something you're willing to agree to? If in doubt, take it to a lawyer.
what is it he wants you to agree to ? Some people are looking to protect themselves before giving others money if you are on the up and up you shouldn't worry about guaranteeing your work . with the limited information given this is the best answer I have .
Clear your agreement and show your information and your working sector?
