we just got a phone call, saying we won 2.5 million in a walmart give away. they didnt need a bank account or anything, didnt ask for personal info or credit card info, and said someone will be calling in the evening to discuss presenting the check to us. YES a check. not a wire transfer or money-gram or direct deposit, but a check. is it real or fake?

Scam walmart doesn't run a give away program like that and if they didn't you didn't enter the contest. Something for nothing is always a scam.

Did you enter a drawing at Walmart? If not, it is fake. If you did, contact the local Walmart store manager and verify the facts. Good Luck

There's probrably a catch. They might ask to mail you the check AND ASK YOU FOR AN ADRESS. PROBRABLY A SCAM.
