he shipped it june 29 and it arrived at bethpage ny the same day. june 30 i tracked it and it departed the bethpage facility. the expected delivery date was july 2 but when i track it i still have no updates on my package. i am worried because i read online and people say bethpage is one of the most busy usps facilities and they lose packages alot. anyways my question: is my package still stuck at the bethpage facility or is it traveling still. should i be worried or just wait?
P.S: i'm 14 and the package needs a signature confirmation if my parents arn't home can i sign it off? thanks
Do you know what class of shipping was used? Priority Mail (2-3 day) or standard (4-10 days)? Are you tracking via the usps website or through ebay? I would say there is nothing to worry about. It really hasn't been very long.
Yes, you can sign for it. Typically an adult signature is required. But if the carrier deems the non-adult to be of reasonable responsible maturity (typically in their teens and up), then they can accept a youth signature.
You can't expect competence out of a government agency. It likely didn't get scanned and will show up in CA by tomorrow. If not, give it a week before you start to worry. The odds are far more likely that it's late than it's lost.
I'm pretty sure you can sign for it. It's not a legally binding contract. All you're saying is that you received the package.
That box has a long long long way to go. It is still in the travel process to arrive in California. The next scan maybe at a major Post Office hub where it says ARRIVED at BLAH BLAH, Compton CA. Then PROCESSED and off to the Post Office that services your address an then it will say "SORTED" then "OUT FOR DELIVERY". I would be willing to say you get the order next week. The holiday will be the delay factor. No mail on Saturday.
sometimes they just miss a scan or two. i would not worry yet.
