Why does usps tracking say delivery on sunday.?

While the Post Office has certain postage classes which offer Sunday delivery, a contract between Amazon and USPS gives the Amazon.com customer delivery seven days a week. Amazon.com does ship packages which the United States Postal Service (USPS) will deliver on Sunday. While not all cities are included, Amazon.com continues to add cities to the list.

Here are some of the cities known to be getting Sunday delivery of Amazon.com packages. If you do not see you city, does not mean it is not on the national list, just that no news reports have included it on their lists. Since the delivery update indicates the package will be delivered on 19 April, take that as confirmation your city is on the national list.
