I dont spend money?

Posted at: 2015-07-28
Idk i only spend it on a few bills and keep savings. I always been like this my whole life.sometimes i feel like I'm working for nothing since i rarely spend the money i get. Material things dont really excite me like most. My parents always say "u cant take the money with u when u gone" but idk. Anybody ever felt like this or anything

Your life is yours and what you do with it (and your money) is up to you.

In my opinion it's far better off to be financially secure and to have lots of choices in the future. You don't HAVE to like material things. But perhaps someday you will want to take horseback riding lessons or learn to skydive or go on an African Safari or perhaps you will find a charitable cause that really speaks to you and you will donate time and money for that purpose.

If you are happy with your life as it is, keep doing what you're doing. And stop discussing your finances with your family. It's none of their business.

And they're right....you can't take it with you...but I'd rather die leaving some money behind than die BROKE. Dying broke is a *****.

Honestly, it sounds like your parents are bit jealous of your ability to handle your money. Ten bucks says they live paycheck to paycheck and owe more than they have. Keep saving...maybe you will have to pay for their care when they are old...lol.

You're still young and that's why you think like that. But what you should be doing is saving for a vehicle and for your education. Seems you already know about computers so that's good. Maybe you have a cellphone and those are good in emergencies so you might need one of those.

Yes. It's called being frugal.

Learn about investing. Then you can put your money to work working for you.

You might also consider getting involved in a charity and see if it feels good to learn to use your money to help others.

But I think saving is great!
