I am sending a friend a mini calendar. Obviously it doesn't fit in a regular size envelope, so how do I ship this? Can I just go to a store and buy a bigger envelope?
It is being shipped from Ohio to New York.
Do I just need a single stamp on it, or more than one?
Thanks!
For something like that, it will probably be easiest for you to buy what you need at the post office. They have the oversized envelopes, and can tell you exactly what the postage will be. Their shipping supplies are very close in cost to what you can buy it for in an office supply store, and you can buy a single envelope instead of having to buy a pack of several.
Someplace like Staples or Walmart has various sizes of padded envelopes. You'll need more than one stamp though. Take it to the post office.
A standard first class stamp only over one ounce, you can add more to make the weight, there are package dimension limitations, odds are your OK, when in doubt take it to the post office to have them weigh it and calculate the exact postage.

look @ the usps website - it has info on sizes of envelopes/boxes and the rates to send
