Sellers on eBay - help please?

Hey, so

I recently sold something on eBay.

The buyer is complaining to me that she hasn't received when it was shipped over 3 weeks ago. I gave her the tracking, it says delivered, but she said I shipped to the wrong address. She's now saying she will be making a call to my local police department. what do I do? She escalated her claims but the address it was shipped to isn't the same that's on her PayPal...

If you have the proof it was shipped to the address registered with Ebay, then you are in the right and she has no claim. It is her responsibility to make sure her information is correct at time of purchase. In fact she will receive an Email from Ebay at the time it is marked as despatched telling her which address it is going to. So she had plenty of warning.

Her mistake, not yours, so stand your ground.

Also, this has been used in the past as a scam, where one party signs a false signature then denies receipt, then the purchaser starts denying it, but collects the item.

If she threatens police, then you do the same by asking the courier to provide the printed evidence and you involve the police as attempted fraud. Then let them sort it out.

Why did you not send it to the correct address? If it's the address she TOLD you to send it to then that's on her. You must provide proof that you sent it to where she wanted it. The police won't get involved but eBay/PayPal WILL refund her money if you can't provide the proof.

When you shipped it out, did you make an error on the address?

If you shipped it to the wrong address then it's your responsibility.

If not, provide her proof and she has no claim.
