I bought an item on ebay & a little later, the seller told me it was out of stock. He issued a refund & the money didn't appear in my account but he said it usually takes a few days. The next day, he told me the item was back in stock & asked if I still wanted it. I told him yes & he sent me an invoice. What does this mean? I don't want to be charged double.

Once a seller issues a refund through PayPal - it can not be reversed. It is done. That is not saying it will show up right away - but for sure, the seller can not contact PayPal and reverse the refund.

So if you pay the new invoice, you will be out only the one payment. The refund will make it back to you sooner or later - most likely sooner. So you will be okay to pay the new invoice.

Did you pay with a debit or credit card? Those refunds bounce automatically back to the card and may not be visible there until the statement is run.

The invoice is his way of asking for the money again. Payment is NOT automatic.

All refunds go ONLY to your paypal account NOT to credit card
