Of course--who haven't? You? Bought all kinds of things for years--household stuffs, sporting goods, electronics, stationary, vitamins, health and beauty, etc.). Prices are good for whatever I bought (or I wouldn't have bought them) esp. with free shipping. Shipping speed overall good, which depends on the particular items: some items could arrive the next day by Laser Shipping Co. when (I guess) Amazon had the item in warehouse in/near where you live; other items could take 2+ weeks. But on average it usually takes about 4-5 days, I'd say.
That said, I don't like monopoly, which gives consumers less choices.
Oh, warning: although Amazon has return policy, don't abuse it. I personally know people whose Amazon accounts were closed without warning because of excessive returns, even though they had good reason for the returns. True stories. Not only their accounts were closed without warning (they get a message saying their account has been closed), but also they couldn't register with a new user name.
I have bought many thing from amazon. Most of the time the shipping was fast and products was always as described for me. But I now tend to buy from ebay and im getting into craiglist, so far no problems with any of these sites but use at your own risk.
Amazon buyer since 1997. Started using them because I lived in a rural area and could not find locally what I wanted. Great products, fast shipping and you can shop in your pajamas at 2 a.m.! Best place to buy used college test books. But, like any store, shop around for the best prices.

I've gotten phone cases and earbuds. The shipping speed is usually within 1 week (if the seller is shipping in US)

I buy/rent books from them. Haven't gotten much else because ebay is cheaper for the few other items I need, but yeah very satisfied with them.
