Had less problems on Amazon but more trouble selling things, less of an audience I think, thus less time wasters and scammers.. I haven't even been in my Amazon account for a few years.
both are reliable, all of these answers are very ignorant of the fact that are plenty of vendors/small business selling on ebay, amazon and ebay are different in the different products that you can find, but on both websites there are many private sellers, as long you check their ratings before a purchase, there should not be any problems at all
They're about the same.
eBay you're more likely to get contacted by a "seller" asking you to send them money directly, which is a scam, but I haven't had that happen, yet.
I HAVE, however, seen auctions that the "seller" seemed to bid on their own item to jack up the price.
Same item reposted, same bidder wins...
I guess that gives Amazon a bit of an edge in reliability. No auctions. Those can get shady.
Amazon, since eBay is person to person.
Amazon. You're dealing with people that run businesses. With eBay you're dealing with private individuals who often have no clue what they're doing or, worse, are scammers.
Amazon.
I once had a guy on ebay who outbidded me with another account, then said i won then got my account suspended.
Both, it really depends on what you are wanting to buy. Ebay is good for cheap used items that need minor repair, or good/ new items. Amazon is strictly new/refurb items.
