You need to realize that you didn't buy anything from eBay. EBay is basically like the newspaper that contains classified ads. You buy from individual sellers and they all have different return policies. EBay does now require sellers of offer some some sort of return policy, though, usually for about two weeks after the sale. Contact the seller though the eBay messaging system and tell them the movie is scratched and you want to return it and receive a refund. If the seller responds agreeably, you will need to mail it back at your own cost. The seller should credit your PayPal account for the purchase price minus his shipping costs.

Flower is correct. You have eBay buyer protection on your side, however you should also test the disc on another player as if the seller receives the disc back and it plays for them - they can file a dispute against a refund to you. Keep in mind that so many people watch a movie or play a game and them claim it is defective that it makes the honest buyer seem questionable.

The seller you bought from must refund your money after you open a case for Item Not As Described and ship item back. When item is damaged seller must give you refund.

Note, 99.9% of sellers do NOT refund the cost to ship the item back to them.
